Knee Flexion H90/K90

Setup

Frame Setup Diagram

1 : Lie supine with ankles positioned in cuffs at level of lateral malleolus, hips at 90° flexion and knees at 90° flexion.

2 : Adjust housing height and subject position so the cuffs are at the level of the lateral malleolus with knee and hip angles as detailed.

3 : Ensure the cuff is flush with the back of the leg, providing good contact and the sensor arm is at right angles to tibia/shank.

4 : Have the athlete rest their limb on top of the sensor cuff and without pressing into the cuff, press the "Re-zero" button to negate the weight of the limb

5 : For lighter test and training forces, fixation of the pelvis will not be required. For greater forces, a strap or hip thrust bar can be used to fix the pelvis and prevent a "bridge" type movement

Cues

1 : Train and test unilaterally.

2 : Keep pelvis still and spine neutral while flexing the knee to squeeze the dynamometer.

3 : Feel fatigue/work in the hamstring muscle group.

4 : Maintain controlled force throughout the duration of the test.
