Answer: Occasionally, pole clamp tension may need to be adjusted to prevent any slide under high forces. Please follow the directions below in order to tighten the clamps.
Step 1: Locate the spring on the bottom of the side clamp at the back of the pole.
Step 2: Tighten the locking spring (pictured) a quarter turn at a time opening and closing the side clamp in order to make sure the tension does not become too great to prevent full closure of the clamp. If the tension becomes too much, the clamp handles will not close fully and provide a locking sensation at end of range. If this is the case, unscrew the spring a quarter turn and double-check the tension, unscrewing as needed to find the “sweet spot” of tension that allows the clamp to close fully but provides sufficient resistance to vertical forces during testing.
