1: Lie on non-testing side, knees and hips at 90°
2: Place foam block under distal tibia of test leg, ensuring the ankle is supported and the foot is free to invert and evert
3: Adjust housing height so that the pad is flush with the outside of the foot at the distal head of 5th metatarsal when ankle is plantar grade and neutral in the frontal plane (inversion/eversion)
1: Test unilaterally
2: Keeping distal tibia on the foam block evert the ankle to squeeze the outside of foot into the sensor pad
3: Build to maximum force over 5 seconds
