1: Lie supine crook lying with knees flexed, feet flat on the floor and body centred over middle mat gridline. Adjust housing and subject position to align flat sensor pad 1cm above centre of subject forehead
2: Place a pressure biofeedback unit (PBU) or rolled up towel in the natural curvature of the neck (PBU pumped up to 20 mmHg)
3: Adjust housing angle to ensure flat pad is at right angles to forehead once subject slowly curls chin to throat, flexing cranium on neck to meet the flat sensor pad with forehead
4: With alignment established, subject initiates flexion test by curling cranium on neck (axis of rotation through ears) to slowly squeeze forehead into sensor
1: Slowly, tuck in the chin and flex the cervical spine, maintaining constant pressure on the towel or PBU (+/- 10mmHg)
2: Squeeze forehead into circular pad
3: Feel fatigue/work in the short supra-hyoid neck flexors
4: Build to maximum force over 5 seconds
